This is a collection of 50 Münchener Kalenders by Otto Hupp. These calenders were issued between 1885 and 1936. In total 51 calenders have been issued. In this collection only 1885 is missing.
The calendars are scanned fully, but are notoriously hard to scan, due to the hard binding of the covers.
The calendars until 1895 are more generic and show heraldic images of the zodiac signs. The calendars were not made to last this long and thus are generally very fragile.
Later issued show large heraldic images of German States, bishops etc, and for each month one or more arms of the German nobility. By the time the calendars had become collector's items and the quality of the paper and ink increased. But also they were bound very tightly.
In the 1935 issue there is a history of the calendars.
The (very rare) 1936 calendar is of a completely different design, a wall calendar instead of a bound book-like calendar.
Some calendars have a large fold-out poster included.
I still miss 1885, all others are included here (1933 was not issued).
In addition there are three very fragile similar Haus Kalenders included here; 1889, 1890 and 1894.
Total thus 53 files (1.37 GB). See images.
