While we were in Hong Kong, we spent hours recording at the city’s bustling ferry terminals. One of the most inspiring places we visited. From the moment we got to the pier, there was a constant pulse: the deep rumble of ferry engines, metal chains clattering as boats docked, and boarding gates beeping as commuters stepped on and off.

We recorded everything from crowds moving through the terminals and announcements echoing across the harbor, to quieter moments filled with the hum of ventilation and the subtle textures of wind, rain, and distant thunder over Victoria Harbour over a couple of days.

Every recording tells a story. Industrial, urban, rhythmic. This library is for sound designers, filmmakers, and anyone needing authentic dockside ambience or real-life urban water atmospheres from Hong Kong.
