The Proof They Demanded

She offered a frightened woman kindness. Strangers demanded proof that she was worth listening to.

Mindy Cole joins an online Bible discussion with a simple message: you don’t have to stop feeling afraid before you pray.

Then unfamiliar accounts turn her reply into a spectacle.

They mock her photograph, question her intelligence, and demand evidence of her education. When her thoughtful answers don’t fit their assumptions, they accuse her of using artificial intelligence.

Mindy knows who she is. But knowing the truth doesn’t make public humiliation painless—or make every demand deserve an answer.

As the attacks pull attention away from someone who needed support, Mindy must decide how to defend her dignity without surrendering her privacy or becoming consumed by proving strangers wrong.

The Proof They Demanded by Mia Bills is compelling Christian fiction about online cruelty, prejudice, faith, and the pressure to justify your abilities to people determined to dismiss them.

How much proof is enough for someone who has already decided not to believe you?
