Can Working Class Culture be Knowledge?

This thesis was written four years after the first publication of The Conspiracy of Good Taste in 1993. It follows the similar themes of cultural class oppression that had been drawn to me by the magnetism of that book. Rereading this on the Internet Archive, where it had been deposited, I realised there was much of value that was not included in my 'Exploding Cinema 1991 - 1997: culture and democracy' (written 2002) and the later 'SiLENCE! the great silencing of British working class culture' , (2020) and expanded on the themes here. It seemed worth publishing so that the evolution of my research can be followed. The text is enriched with hindsight!”
