Springthorpe shawl
I live in rural Lincolnshire, in a small village on the edge of the Wolds. My part of Lincolnshire is renowned for its big skies and lovely landscapes and this pattern, which is part of my Lincolnshire Shawlscapes, reflects the beautiful, but short lived, spring flowers that grow in the fields.
The shawl itself has a finished size of approximately 90 x 110cms. It’s a triangular shape, worked from a narrow beginning and slowly increasing in size. To make this you will need two 100 gm balls of 4 ply (each ball = 410 metres). I used Wool is the Answer yarns “A Smidge of Magenta” and “Fruity Rainbow” (www.woolistheanswer.co.uk)
