You are purchasing admission and handouts for a virtual class that takes place via Zoom.
Wednesday, April 1
5-7pm Pacific Time; 6pm Mountain Time, 7pm Central, 8pm Eastern time
Class will be recorded and the recording will be available for 30 days afterwards.
Have you ever seen someone knit without looking down at their work and wondered how they do that? Knitting without looking is more than just a party trick — it enables us to watch a show or visually interact with others while continuing to knit; knit while traveling without fear of motion sickness; and future-proof our hobby against aging and tired eyes or visual impairment.
In this class you'll learn the simple tricks that will release you from the need to see what you're doing. We'll practice a variety of stitches beyond simple knits and learn how to set ourselves up for success in our efforts.
Homework: Using a smooth, worsted to chunky weight yarn and appropriate needles for working flat with that yarn, cast on 20 stitches and work one inch of k2, p2 ribbing. Leave the stitches live on the needles and do not cut the yarn.
Supplies: Bring your homework swatch still on the needles with at least 30 additional yards of the yarn attached, a dozen stitch markers, a bandana, sleep mask, or lightweight scarf that is comfortable to wear as a blindfold.
Level: Advanced Beginner and Up - Knitters must already know how to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, and work basic increases and decreases.
Day and Time: Wednesday, April 1 at 5-7pm Pacific Time (6pm Mountain Time, 7pm Central, 8pm Eastern time).
You will receive the class handout and Zoom access info immediately upon purchasing the class, both on the website and in your email inbox. Please save the handout, pattern, and link somewhere accessible. If you don't see these in your email inbox, please check your spam filter and then reach out to me at deviousknitter@gmail.com.
I record each virtual class session and make the recording available to registered participants for 30 days after the date of the class, so if something prevents you from attending, you will still have access to the class recording and all materials.
