The Tank Stream is the waterway that sustained the first convict settlement during the late 18th century in Sydney, Australia. Tank Stream shawl is a huge cosy wrap, knitted in garter stitch, with a cascade of relaxed cables down one side. The shawl was created using Fair Dinkum DK, a soft and sustainable merino wool yarn, from Dingo Dyeworks.

Needles & Notions
US 7/4.5 mm circular needle, 32 inches/80 cm or longer (to accommodate the large number of stitches);
5 stitch markers;
Cable needle.
Gauge
19 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in garter stitch after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.

Depth down spine 25.5 inches/65 cm after blocking.
