Slipway is a reversible triangular shawl worked side-to-side with i-cord edges in a soft and sleek silk merino fingering weight yarn. The simple, soft, elegant, fabric of the shawl is created by alternating stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch sections.

Yarn Requirements
Approximately 437 yards/400 metres of fingering/4 ply/sock yarn.
The sample was knitted in Atelier Yarn Summit single ply fingering yarn (70% Superwash Merino Wool (non-mulesed), 30% Silk; 437 yards/400 metres per 100 grams), in the Close to Midnight colourway, 1 skein.

Needles & Notions
6 US/4 mm circular needles, 24 inches/60 cm long.
1 stitch marker (optional).
Yarn needle to weave in ends.

Gauge
22 sts and 28 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette/stocking stitch after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.

Finished Measurements
Length/Wingspan (longest edge): 60 inches/152.5 cm;
Depth: 20 inches/51 cm after blocking.

Skills Required/Techniques Used
Knit, purl, increase/decrease stitches; i-cord edges; kitchener stitch to finish the icord edge (optional); blocking.
