Real Life Rehearsal Volume 1: Friendship & Social Situations
Real Life Rehearsal: Friendship & Social Situations helps kids practice the moments that can be hard to navigate in real life — before they’re actually in them.
Through relatable role-play scenarios, reflection questions, and guided communication practice, children can explore friendship challenges in a safe, low-pressure way while building confidence in what they might say or do.
This series covers real-life situations such as teasing that goes too far, group chats and privacy, gossip, exclusion, jealousy, peer pressure, choosing healthy friendships, and learning how to stay true to yourself while still feeling connected to others.
Each rehearsal includes:
- A realistic, kid-friendly role-play scenario
- A specific social-emotional skill focus
- Reflection questions to help children think beyond the obvious answer
- “Practice It” scripts they can say out loud and personalize
- A “Curtain Call” prompt to imagine what could happen next
Skills practiced include: communication, boundaries, emotional awareness, self-advocacy, empathy, conflict navigation, healthy friendship choices, confidence, and repair.
These pages can be used individually or alongside a parent, caregiver, teacher, counselor, or therapist. They are designed to create conversation — not teach children that there is only one “right” response.
Because real life doesn’t come with a script.
But sometimes it helps to rehearse. 💛
