Four troubled African Americans suffer with different mental health issues throughout some or all of their lives. They range from depression to bipolar disorder, drug and alcohol addiction, self-cutting and suicide attempts. These four individuals also have to contend with the stigma that runs rampant in their daily lives, as well as the stigma that hundreds or thousands of African Americans face within their homes, schools, jobs and overall communities on a daily basis; perhaps even with no hope, no resources and no end to their suffering in sight.
