Dutch - Telling the time / Klokkijken: Exerise for pairs of students

This document contains two worksheets for students of Dutcch who want to learn how to tell the time, student A and Student B.

Students should work in pairs. This is a listening and speaking exercise.

Task 1)  INSTRUCTIONS

You see 24-hour system digital clocks. Each clock has a different time, in the morning, the afternoon, the evening or at night. Tell the times to your partner. Your partner listens and checks your answers.

Task 2)  INSTRUCTIONS

Listen to your partner’s times, and check them with the answers in the table below. If your partner makes a mistake, just say: “niet echt” (not quite) and give your partner a second chance. Give a hint if the second time is still not correct, and give a third chance. Tell your partner the correct answer if the third time is still not correct.
