3rd and Long - The Sixties Decade Bundle (AFL and NFL)
3rd and Long - The Sixties 1960-69
Twenty seasons. Both leagues. The whole decade in one download.
The sixties is the decade with two leagues in it. The NFL and the AFL ran side by side for ten years, arguing about which one was real football, and this is both of them: all ten NFL seasons and all ten AFL seasons, 1960 to 1969, every team rated.
Everything sits on the same 1-20 scale, worked out the same way from points scored and points allowed. No era adjustment and no conversion, so any team from either league and any season in the range is directly comparable with any other.
What is in it:
NFL, 1960 through 1969 - ten complete ratings packs AFL, 1960 through 1969 - ten complete ratings packs
Every season includes:
All team ratings - Offense & Defense on a 1-20 scale, calibrated against real points-for and points-against data from that season Season cover page with the year's headline stories Ratings CSV, for anyone who wants them in a spreadsheet or an app
Included once, and they work for every season:
Modifier lookup - every offense-versus-defense combination worked out in advance, home on one page, away on the other. No arithmetic at the table. Scoring charts - regular time and overtime, with a written outcome for every band, from a historic shutout to four touchdowns and counting Game playsheet, plus Rate Any Team and the offline Schedule Printer
One set of rules covers every season - no separate purchase needed.
These are ratings packs. There are no printed schedules: between them the two leagues changed shape half a dozen times across the decade, so a printed bracket would be wrong for most of it. The free Schedule Printer (included) lays out the right one for whichever season you are playing.
What you need: Two d100 dice (or a d10 pair as percentile dice) and a pencil.
Twenty seasons. Two leagues. One decade. Settle it yourself.
Also available separately: The AFL Years, the ten AFL seasons on their own.
Part of the 3rd and Long series from TTX Sports - every decade from the 1950s to today on its own, plus The Complete NFL History, all 76 seasons in one download.
