DayTrippers is an OSR-style roleplaying game set in a surrealistic science-fiction multiverse, in which an assortment of colorful character classes pilot unique machines into dream worlds and pocket universes to retrieve items of value and bring them back home. The setting was inspired by the surrealistic fiction of Moebius, Moorcock, Rucker, Weinbaum, Heinlein, Vance, and other masters of weirdness. All Core Rules are included in this volume, as well as rules for collaborative "GM-Lite" play in the world of DayTrippers.

The DayTrippers core rules are a toolbox for running surreal science fiction "short stories" that take place in weird worlds and other dimensions. A DayTrippers campaign is like a series of one-shots: each adventure is designed to last a single session and return the PCs back to Earth. The concept of "Vector Slipping" into other dimensions allows an infinite variety of bizarre experiences to be explored, from "Dream Worlds" and "Alternate Earths" to distant planets in our universe and others. Using this toolkit, the GM takes the players into new and wildly divergent realities every session, blurring the line between subjective and objective reality, and cranking up the weirdness to eleven.
The system uses d6s only. Character generation is point-based, actions are skill-based, and experience points are used to buy advancements of all types. Sample characters and vehicles are included. The Action Resolution system is both numeric and interpretive, creating a wide range of dramatic outcomes for every roll.
Conversion tables are included for d20, PbtA and percentage-based systems.
