Agenda puts a spotlight on Black design talent, and Issue #18 is appropriately titled “Black Design Collective.” This issue features a milliner, clothing designers, and fashion entrepreneurial innovators. We put a spotlight on the 2022 NAACP Image Awards which gave a platform to Black Design Collective president Kevan Hall and designers Epperson, Byron Lars (In Earnest), TJ Walker (Cross Colours), and menswear designer Isaiah Hemmingway who showed their collections on the runway as a special part of the awards in the fashion show, “Colors Behind the Look.” Agenda features highlights from Emerge in Color, a curated launch by Maison Black and The Black Fashion Movement. This shopping experience was a tremendous success, featuring several designers, products, and accessories, held at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, California.

Supermodel Coco Mitchell has remained a staple in the fashion and beauty industry. She dazzles on the cover (photographed by Ezequiel de la Rosa) and in her fashion editorial, styled by Ty-Ron Mayes (Agenda’s Fashion Whisperer). Ty-Ron is on the flip cover of this issue and stands out in his self-styled fashion story (photographed by Udo Spreitzenbarth); Agenda is delighted tofeature Spreitzenbarth's “Between Light & Dark,” a stunning, photography exhibition. Agenda opens up another time capsule, this time, from Spring 2010 with the late Oscar de la Renta. Breathtaking moments of backstage beauty and first looks are captured by Wire Image photographer Arun Nevader. AMATO Couture Menswear presents an exquisite collection of Arab attire, filled with rich colors, wonder, and spectacle at Arab Fashion Week in Dubai. Also featured in this issue is the Swedish sustainable clothing line Dagmar; and Ash Gupta shoots a colorful fun editorial on Melrose with model Annie Vinetz.

And the movie The 355 has us all on the edge of our seats with an all-star cast that includes Penélope Cruz and Jessica Chastain.

Sheryl Aronson of Arting Around interviews Aaron Walton in her article, “From Fashion Icon to Advertising Mogul,” and in Fashion Talk, “The Art of Dressing,” focuses on what goes into choosing the clothes we wear; Kaylene Peoples's discussion is inspired by the recent film Mrs Harris Goes to Paris!
