This pattern includes instructions to work a knitted beanie & pair of muffatees using the Fair-Isle colourwork technique.

Both the hat and muffatees are worked from the bottom up and in the round. The muffatees include finished sizes for 2 gauges. Choose the needle sizes that will work best for you.

gauge:

26 sts x 26 rows = 4in/10cm measured over stranded stockinette on 3.25mm needles

28 sts x 32 rows = 4in/10cm measured over stranded stockinette on 3.0mm needles

Some knitters work stranded and single-coloured at different gauges. Change needles, as needed, to keep stitch gauge the same throughout.

21in / 53.5cm circ to fit 21 - 23 in / 53cm - 58.5 cm head

Size may be changed by changing needles sizes, if needed.

If using gauge of 26 sts - 7 (7.75, 9.5) in / 18 (19.5, 24.5) cm

If using gauge of 28 sts - 6.5 (7, 9) in / 17 (18, 22.5) cm
