Earth & Stars hat pattern

This is a pattern for a beret/tammie style hat worked from the brim up and in the round using the stranded colourwork knitting technique.

yarn:

2 Ply Jumper Weight by Jamieson & Smith; Fingering; 100% Shetland; 125yds (115m)/ 25g

approximate yarn amounts:

2 colour

colour A - 2 balls

colour B - 2 balls

3 colour

colour A (FC39) - 2 balls

colour B (122) - 2 balls

colour C (FC24) - 1 ball

needles:

2.5mm (us no 1.5) circular needle 24in/10cm

3.0mm (us no 2.5) circular needle 24in/10cm

gauge: 28 sts x 32 rows = 4in/10cm on larger needles and over stranded stockinette

approximate finished size:

one size fits many; 21-25 in/53cm-63.5 cm head

You may make small adjustments to size by increasing needle size (this may affect your yarn amounts).
