A reversible crescent shaped top-down shawl, which uses short rows to create a broad yet shallow shape. The subtle lace decoration evokes the shape and form of bird’s wings.

Yarn
Fingering weight (4 Ply), DK (8 Ply)
The pattern will work best in solid or semi-solid colourways. Variegated yarns will work but may obscure the lace details in the edging. Shorter sequence striping yarns (such as Zauberball or similar) are not recommended as the short rows in the initial sections may cause unwelcome colour transitions. Longer transitional gradients (shading from light to dark or similar) would also work well.
