I designed this in collaboration with April of Wildewood Fibers! Featured is her beautiful worsted weight yarn base in the colors Atlantis and Moonbeam. This pattern will be free when purchased with a yarn kit from April, however if you would like to purchase the pattern alone, I have a Pay What You Can scale.

This cowl was designed with beginning knitters in mind! It features simple stitch patterns like garter stitch and slightly more complex (but not completely impossible!) stitch patterns like basic color work and 1x1 brioche in the round. Its a great way to get a feel for different stitch patterns without having to commit to a one month long project! I've also provided links to videos that may be helpful if you've never knit any of this stitch patterns or just need a refresher.

For this pattern, you'll need:

Worsted weight yarn or size 4 yarn in the following lengths:
- an estimate of 160+ yards (146+ m) for Color A
- an estimate of 85+ yards (78+ m) for Color B
A set of size 7 (4.5 mm) 16" (40 cm) circular needles
And a stitch marker if you'd like to mark the beginning of your rounds!

Guage is 20 sts x 14 rows = 4in x 4in AFTER blocking

Finished measurements will depend on how you block! Mine was blocked lengthwise and ended up being 13in x 10 in laying flat while one of my testers had 10in L x 13.5in W

And speaking of testers, I'd like to give a huge thank you to my test knitters who did an AMAZING job with the quick deadline I had! Their notes and suggestions made this pattern so much better than I could have done it alone. I've featured some of their photos here but you can also check them out on Instagram!
