As the sunlight filters through the leaves, paths become illuminated with a million patches of light, each one lighting the way to something new. These tiny pools of light are reflected in the simple lace stitches of the Dappled Days shawl, and the straight and bold garter stitch stripes are horizons expanding before you.
Dappled Days is a top-down triangular shawl designed with the new lace knitter in mind. Each lace stripe expands on the skills used in the previous stripe, so you progress from a simple 6 stitch repeat pattern to learning how to use varied stitch counts to create the wavy border shaping.
If you are new to knitting lace or working from charted instructions before then this project would be the perfect opportunity to give it a try. - 1 x locking stitch marker (optional)
- 24 x stitch markers depending on if you want to mark off lace repeats
