The Tramways Building in Montréal was the source of inspiration for this design. The curvy patterns are so beautiful! I knew that Roositud work be perfect. Roositud is an Estonian technique for doing colorwork in the round on a small part of the garment, and it’s fully explained in the pattern. It typically uses a yarn that is slightly thicker than the main color of yarn being knit.
These mittens are mainly stockinette and are written in 3 sizes, but they can be customized to be smaller, larger, or deeper for the perfect fit.
The large mittens used approximately 235yds/215m of Tanis Fiber Arts Blue Label Fingering Weight yarn in Brick (main color) and approximately 15yds/14m of Tanis Fiber Arts Yellow Label DK Weight yarn in Natural.
