Musicalmente, este libro define la estética del "neonacionalismo". A diferencia del nacionalismo estricto de épocas pasadas, Silva explora la raíz venezolana con absoluta libertad, sin clichés ni retórica, creando un lenguaje que es a la vez local y universal.
