The Wisdom of God Made Simple

The world is full of clever people — and cleverness keeps failing at the questions that actually decide a life. The Wisdom of God Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through the Bible's own wisdom literature and beyond: the fear of the LORD as the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), the promise that God gives wisdom liberally to all who ask (James 1:5), the two wisdoms of James 3, and Christ Himself — "the wisdom of God" (1 Corinthians 1:24).

Twelve chapters apply God's ancient, true, deep counsel to the places where life is actually lived: decisions, words, relationships, humility, work, money, trials, and the Holy Spirit's revealing work — closing with the wise builder who hears Christ's words and does them (Matthew 7:24).

Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who gives wisdom liberally; Jesus Christ — Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior — in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; and the Holy Spirit, who alone reveals the deep things of God and breaks every stronghold. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.

Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Read slowly. Ask boldly.
