Web of Lies
By Debie Douglas Nantz
A violent murder has once again happened in the sleepy town of Rose Haven, Virginia, and police officers Jack Sparellis and Justin Thoroughbuck have their work cut out for them. Not only was the victim despised, but he was despised by just about everyone who knew him. Anyone could have been pushed to the act of homicide.
The victim, the landlord for a popular strip mall, owed money to a loan shark for his gambling debts, was cheating with the much married wife of a heavy weight boxer, was openly hostile to the gay community, and raised the rent on his tenants for a third time. Wealthy socialite Camila Salas and café owner Laurie Davis put their heads together once again in order to solve the crime, much to the dismay of Laurie’s husband and Bliss Chalet owner Paul Davis.
When a second murder suddenly occurs, the ladies jump into action. They begin snooping around, asking too many questions and beginning to come up with clues to the mystery, causing the assassin to think that they too need to be silenced.
