H is for Home - Teardop Purse
A crochet purse with a zipper + top flap closure, pleated side panels, and detachable strap. This design is a subtle fade of white and beige, with a needlefelted and beaded design of a surreal children's drawing on the front flap, beads spelling "you're safe here" on the front face, and an interior pocket with a heart.
In your mind's eye you can see it perfectly, the yard where you used to play, where the stars were candy in the sky. It's safe, and warm, and you wish the world today could seem as sweet. But no matter how much you try to fit in that yard, you've grown taller, and your head pokes up above the stars.
