Edie W. Cane: „My Blue Flame“

Ein Jazz-Stück zum "swingen". Das Werk enthält ausnotierte Abschnitte, bei denen sich Cello und Kontrabass in Melodie und Begleitfunktion abwechseln, notierte Improvisationen nebst Begleitung für beide Instrumente, sowie einen Teil mit Akkord-Symbolen für reine Improvisationen, der übersprungen werden kann, falls sich die Ausführenden das Improvisieren nicht zutrauen.

A jazz piece to "swing" to. The work contains notated sections in which cello and double bass alternate in melody and accompaniment, notated improvisations and accompaniment for both instruments, as well as a part with chord symbols for pure improvisation, which can be skipped if the performers are not confident enough to improvise.
