One of the reasons students get so stuck playing in one key is that they aren't introduced to the full chromatic range of the instrument early on. G-flat major is no more difficult than G major if you learn both patterns right from the start. Supplementing your lessons with these short technical assignments will have your young ones switching keys easily. Arranging their pieces in a variety of keys helps, too!
This download includes the full range of major pentascales and arpeggios in multiple registers, along with an introduction to minor scales. Notes are colour-coded to match the flower notes our students are familiar with from the Flower Note Set and the Tiny Toots First Flute Book (Pre-Reading).
In our Studio, we have a fantastic wall mural so the students can keep track of all the levels they've completed. They are so proud of themselves when they're ready to level up!
Note: this version of the download is appropriate for silver flutes with a D*, C or B foot or piccolos, but not for the nuvo TooT.
*Jupiter Prodigy, Jupiter JFL700WD and Di Zhao Mini-D are D-foot flutes
