WORDS

Fifty words that pair with any image deck

Image decks are very good at opening a conversation and not always good at closing one. A client can describe a picture for ten minutes and still not have said the thing. A word gives them somewhere to land.

Fifty ordinary words, one per card, nothing else on the face. Relief. Waiting. Loyalty. Refuse. None of them unusual, none of them precise — because the interest is not supposed to be in the word, it is supposed to be in what the client does with it.

⸻ PAIRS WITH ANY IMAGE DECK ⸻

This deck is built to be used beside the associative decks you already own — mine or anyone else's. Same 3 × 4.5 in card size, so it shuffles alongside them.

· IMAGE FIRST — the client describes the picture, then takes a word for what it is doing

· WORD FIRST — the word is named and defined, then an image complicates it

· THE PAIR THAT WILL NOT SETTLE — when word and image contradict each other, which is usually the most honest thing on the table

· THE BRIDGE — image, word, image: where I am, what is in the way, where I want to be

Section Four of the guide covers all four, with sample exchanges.

⸻ THE FIVE CLUSTERS ⸻

1 · FEELINGS — relief, dread, longing, shame, pride, grief, restlessness, tenderness, envy, calm

2 · NEEDS — rest, recognition, safety, freedom, belonging, order, challenge, closeness, space, purpose

3 · BLOCKS — fear, duty, habit, perfection, doubt, comparison, exhaustion, silence, waiting, control

4 · VALUES — honesty, courage, loyalty, independence, service, craft, stability, growth, fairness, joy

5 · ACTIONS — ask, refuse, begin, finish, leave, stay, repair, tell, choose, return

Each cluster prints on its own colour, so you can pull ten cards out of the deck in seconds. Draw one from Feelings, Blocks, Values and Actions in that order and you have a complete session in four cards.

⸻ WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT ⸻

The 26-page facilitator guide is a working manual, not a leaflet:

· Why a word is not a prompt, and why ambiguity is the working part

· Ethics and scope of practice, written plainly

· Six card layouts, with diagrams, and a table for choosing between them

· A four-step coaching framework with scripted facilitator language

· A question bank organised by cluster — over forty questions, ready to use

· Verbatim language for the first three minutes of a session

· A troubleshooting section — what to do when a client says nothing, defines the word instead of using it, or asks you to interpret

· Group, retreat and team formats, including a half-day workshop timetable

· Printing instructions, a printable session record sheet, and clear licence terms

⸻ USING THE DECK ONLINE ⸻

Every card is included as a single image, so you can screen-share one at full size during a video session. Each card is numbered, so a client can simply name a number between one and fifty. The guide has a section on running sessions over video and on whiteboard tools.

⸻ PRINTING ⸻

Print at 100% / Actual Size — never Fit to Page. Recommended paper: 250–300 gsm matte card stock. Every sheet carries cut lines with a margin between cards, so cutting is forgiving. Full printing and cutting guidance is on page 4 of the guide.

⸻ PLEASE NOTE ⸻

This is an instant digital download. No physical item will be shipped. Files are available immediately after purchase.
