My Pumpkin Patch cowl pattern is a simple, fun and relaxing two colour stranded colourwork pattern that will keep you entertained and cosy this autumn.

There are three different sized pumpkin motifs and there are seventeen pumpkins in total to knit in this pattern. It's knitted in the round and the moss stitch border adds a lovely bit of texture to the cowl. The main colourwork section is simply knit stitch throughout. There is no correct 'side' to wear the cowl as you'll always get a good mix of pumpkin motifs from any angle.

The pattern itself has easy to follow instructions in both chart and written form making it perfect for those wanting to try colourwork for the first time as well as more experienced knitters.

The cowl uses DK yarn, but being a colourwork project it certainly feels cosier whilst you're working on it and indeed wearing it. You can use two colours as per the sample or you can use up left over yarns for the pumpkins to create a multicoloured/tonal tableau.

It's a gorgeous autumn/Halloween project with so many options to make your cowl unique. So whether you knit a round or two a day, relax in front of your favourite autumnal films, or whether you knit it for yourself or as a gift, it's a satisfying pattern that you'll enjoy knitting again and again.
