25 printable playdough mats for ages 3–6. Count 1 to 10 with Maeve, then hunt for shapes and patterns with Griffin.

What's inside the bundle

Two playdough mat packs from What's That, Remy? in one bundle: 25 printable mats for busy little hands, ages 3–6.

Maeve's Counting Mats · 11 mats

  • 10 counting mats, 1 to 10: roll a snake over the big number, press dough balls onto the picture, fill the ten frame and trace the number word
  • A 0–10 number line mat

Griffin's Shape Hunt · 14 mats

  • 10 shape mats, circle to hexagon: roll a snake around the shape, count its corners, fill the picture and hunt for the shape in a row of look-alikes
  • 4 pattern mats: AB, AAB, ABC, a growing tower and a make-your-own row

Also included: a grown-up guide for each pack, colour AND ink-saver versions, Letter and A4 sizes.

Print on card stock and laminate (or use sheet protectors) for wipe-clean, use-again play. Works with playdough, buttons, pom-poms and a dry-erase marker.

Why it works

Busy hands, growing brains. Rolling, pinching and pressing dough is the "heavy work" occupational therapists use to build the hand strength and finger control children later need for holding a pencil.

Real early maths. One ball per circle and per box practises one-to-one counting, and ten frames help children see numbers as groups. The shape hunt shows shapes turned, stretched and resized on purpose, because children learn shapes best from many examples. Pattern mats build the patterning skills linked to later maths.

Made with the crew. Maeve and Griffin from What's That, Remy? cheer kids on from every mat.

Adult supervision: playdough and small pieces are not for children who still put things in their mouths.
