As someone who has always lived by the sea, the sea brings a level of tranquillity when the waves are lapping against the shore. Going down to the ocean when there is no one around and the only sound is made by the waves, is just a nice way of feeling relaxed and calm.

This pattern hopefully also brings a nice calming feeling whilst you knit it. It’s a cowl that is worked flat and then uses Kitchener stitch to join both ends together, to make a seamless piece, just as the ocean is seamless.

A DK cowl worked flat and joined at the end to make a loop. The design features an all-over cable-pattern. Also, included in the price is By the Sea Lite which is the fingering version of the same cowl.
