Ginger Leaves

This pattern is part of the Traveling Scarf 2023 Project, featuring yarn from Serendipitous Wool. It is a crochet pattern written in US terminology. A 5.0mm hook and 40g of worsted weight yarn were used in the sample.

Shobha and I both love ginger. As soon as I saw the colors she chose for me, the leaves of the ginger plant sprang to mind.

Ginger - as both food and medicine - can be found in many BBIMP cultures, strewn across the globe as we were through colonization. From Indian adraki murgh to Jamaican ginger beer, it is a plant that connects us all.
