PowerCut
Your rough cut, in minutes,
No uploads.
No subscription.
No black box.
Entirely on your Mac.
Drop in your talking-head footage and PowerCut transcribes it on device, strikes the silences, filler words, and repeated takes, and hands you a paper edit: cut video by editing text. Review every automatic decision, fix anything with a keystroke, then export a frame-accurate timeline to Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Premiere Pro.
Thirteen languages, all on device. Shooting in a language you don't edit in? Translate to English (beta) writes the transcript in English with every word timed to the original footage, so your cuts land exactly where things were said, and your existing edit survives the translation. A Document view turns the transcript into a clean paper page for producers, with Word export in three flavors: full record, edits marked, or the final cut only.
No uploads. No subscription. One-time purchase, free 7-day trial with export included, and a 14-day no-questions refund. Requires macOS 14 or later (transcription needs macOS 26).
