The Pyramid Chickens is a no-sew version of the popular “granny square chicken” pattern by Sweet Softies! These are quick and easy to work up, and crocheted in the round like amigurumi.

This 3-in-1 Pyramid Chicken pattern pack includes instructions for the:

(1) Original Chicken,

(2) Feet-Out Chicken, and

(3) Baby Chick.

They are designed with chenille velvet yarn for a plush look, but can be crocheted using any fiber such as acrylic and cotton yarns. These make great gifts for Easter or holidays, stocking stuffers, hanging ornaments, and keychains. They also work well as craft fair products!

The PDF pattern comes with lots of progress photos to help a beginner crocheter, and there’s a full video tutorial for crocheting the Original Pyramid Chicken.

SIZE

Big chicken height: 10 cm

Baby chick height: 4 cm

MATERIALS

Super bulky weight 6 chenille velvet yarn in yellow, orange, pink, and green (I used Hobbii Honey Bunny yarn)

5mm crochet hook

12mm eyes for adult chicken

8mm eyes for baby chick

Fiberfill stuffing

Scissors

★★☆☆☆ Familiar Beginner. Requires familiarity with stitches used (below) and attaching yarn.

STITCHES USED (US TERMS)

FO = fasten off

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

inc = increase (insert 2 sts in the same st)
