I have simpler rate for narrating and producing audiobooks.

I'll send you an offer after I receive your quote. The offer will likely mirror my rate chart, however I'll let you know if I need to charge more for extra services. LIKELY NOT. I'll be happy to spend the time it takes to complete your audiobook within the stated price table.

One thing you can be certain of: My offer will have nothing to do with taking your future royalties. Your product will always remain yours.

You are hiring me as a voice talent, project director, and audiobook producer. This package offer is a work-made-for-hire with no future claims on your book.

My price will not be as expensive as the top narrators and producers but it will not be low. It will be reasonable, however. Why?

What is often not made clear to you: after you hire a narrator you need to hire another sound engineer to edit and master the audio to specific technical criteria of ACX (Audible), Findaway Voices, and Author’s Republic.

I do not mind payments as you need to for your budget, but I will not be able to begin your project until I have received 50% down.

Thank you for trusting me with your audiobook project! I'm grateful that you like the quality of my voice and trust my technical skills.

My rate is 4 cents a word and 50% up-front non-refundable. $100 minimum project. I'll create all Audible-compliant and quality chapter files and upload them to an email server so you can download them.

There is a sliding scale for projects beginning with a 22,000 and above word count to reduce the charge:

• Subtract 0.001 from the 0.04 per word price per added two thousand words.
  • For example, a 20,000 word project would be $800. The reduced price for a 22,000 word project would be $858 instead of $880.
  • A 50,000 word project would be $1250 instead of $2000.

Keep in mind that I have no desire to be paid in future royalties.

You’ll get extras when you hire me.

For the price you might pay a top narrator, you’ll get technical and production extras from me, such as:

• Work-in-progress samples delivered from a private server.
• Closely work with you on determining the passion needed for your project.
• Consultation with you if I feel an area might be expanded on or told differently because of the audiobook format.
• Communication with you if any question about pronunciations
• No studio time charged for the time necessary for production extras such as the inclusion of background music or marketing blurbs.
• Final audio delivery through the private server.
• Your audiobook fully edited and mastered.
• I guarantee to deliver quality audio to the standards of Audible, Author’s Republic, and Findaway Voices.
• You will not have to hire an additional audio producer to finalize your files. This service is included.
• I’ll be glad to deliver most requests of studio time for your project, but will quote you an hourly rate for special needs.

There will be studio time added for any other special requests such as time for producing long advertising, or for the delivery/upload of the files to other destinations.
