Dance for Violoncello and Live Electronics
This piece was written as a collaboration with dancer/choreographer Merli V. Guerra, and was premiered by her and Baroque violoncellist Christien Beeuwekes.
The live electronics part, via SuperCollider and usually controlled by a someone other than the violoncellist, is optional; but it is recommended to experiment with differing amounts of reverb and panning in a surround-sound environment.
Or: just play it as written, either on either a Baroque or modern instrument. Fermati are occassions for improvisation.
