Canon Number Two
This piece, as realised, can be performed by three or four instruments, e.g.: two alto and two tenor recorders; two b flat and two alto clarinets; two recorders (or two clarinets) and violoncello.
However, this is just one possibility; it can also be performed as a straight or prolation canon as the ensemble desires.
Inspired by the prolation canons of Johannes Ciconia: three voices, one three times faster than the leader, another five times faster.
