Over the Line — Rugby Union - 2nd Edition

The complete tabletop rugby union game. Roll dice, play matches and run full league seasons and cup competitions, solo or with a mate. Every team is three ratings (ATK, DEF, KICK), every season pack in the range plugs straight in, and a match takes anything from ninety seconds to twenty-five minutes, depending on how much of it you want to see.

NEW - SECOND EDITION. The biggest update since the game launched. If you already own Over the Line, it is free and already in your library.

What's in the 2nd Edition:

• Book One - The Core Game. Team ratings and how to rate your own teams, seasons, league tables, bonus points, play-offs and what happens when a final is level at full time. Quick Play is now in the core rules: a whole match in under two minutes, a whole round in a quarter of an hour. The original phase-by-phase match is here in full as the Classic Match.

• Book Two - The Match Player. New. For the matches you care about. Twenty-four possessions, twelve each, with clear chances, half-chances, counter-attacks and sieges on the line. Win a penalty in range and you decide: take the three, or kick to the corner and back your maul. Camped on their line late on, you can grind for the penalty or drop into the pocket for a drop goal. Each chance comes with a line of commentary, so by full time you can read the match back.

• The Match Sheet - one page that runs a Match Player game.

• Premiership 2026-27 Ratings - all ten clubs rated for the season now under way, with notes on every side and the season format. Bath start as favourites, with Saracens and Leicester next. Run your own season alongside the real one and see how your table compares in May.

• The Match Player app - Book Two on screen. Let it roll the dice, or roll your own and type them in. Penalty calls and drop goals are yours to make, and it keeps the score and a full match report.

• The League Helper app - load your teams, get a home-and-away fixture list, enter your results and let it keep the table, bonus points included. Set the points for a win, a draw and each bonus to match your league. Works offline in your browser.

• Classic Match Scoresheet.

The original 1st Edition rulebook is still in the download, with its Six Nations 2026, Rugby Championship 2025 and World League of Rugby ratings.

Works with every Over the Line season pack - Premiership 2024-25, URC 2024-25, The 2025 Rugby Season Pack, Nations Championship 2026, the 2025 Lions tour to Australia, the Continental Champions Cup and Tour to Vaalia.
