Malachi Waistcoat is worked in the round on circular needles, then split to work flat for front and back. Rib edges for sleeves and neck are picked up and knitted afterwards. The waistcoat has colourwork along the bottom half of the body using one contrast colour. The PDF knitting pattern includes complete written instructions and diagram with measurements. 

Yarn: Worsted/aran weight, 77m/50g (sample made using Purl Alpaca Designs Medium (100% alpaca)). 

Sizes:
X-Small: UK sizes 4-6, to fit approx 73cm/29″ bust (Colour A, 5 balls, Colour B, 1 ball)
Small: UK sizes 8-10, to fit approx 83cm/33″ bust (Colour A, 5 balls, Colour B, 1 ball)
Medium: UK sizes 12-14, to fit approx 93cm/37″ bust (Colour A, 6 balls, Colour B, 1 ball)
Large: UK sizes 16-18, to fit approx 102cm/41″ bust (Colour A, 6 balls, Colour B, 1 ball)
X-Large: UK sizes 20-22, to fit approx 112cm/44″ bust (Colour A, 7 balls, Colour B, 1 ball)

Needle size: 4mm and 4.5mm circular needles, 80-100 cm for body of work, 4mm small circumference or DPNs for rib edges. 

Tension: 17sts and 24 rows to 10cm square over Stocking Stitch using 4.5mm needles

Notions: Darning needle to secure yarn ends.
