Carmicheal Gloves

These retro styled men’s gloves – fingerless or full fingered – use a moss stitch variation to give a woven textured back with a smooth palm. They are perfect to keeping hands toasty in the garden, car or workshop.
The pattern is written for fingerless gloves. For full fingers, continue with each finger pattern until you reached the desired length, then work k2tog all the way round, break yarn, thread through stitches, draw together and fasten off yarn. Repeat for each finger.

Size
To fit a man’s hand, 22-23cm round the palm below the fingers.

Tension
25 sts and 40 rows over stocking st using 3mm needles to 10cm (to change the size of the gloves use 2.5mm to reduce or 3.25mm to increase).

Materials
100g DK yarn.
Fingerless version knitted in John Arbon Knit By Numbers.
Full finger version knitted in Mirasol Hacho.
3mm double pointed needles.
Scrap yarn.
