Looking For Barry - The 44th President of The United States of America!

By Mark Anthony Hall
In a bizarre twist of fate, a young African American man from Chicago finds out twenty-five years later that his play grandfather in Honolulu, Hawaii was actually the real grandfather of Barack Obama, the 44th President of The United States of America.

Unbeknownst to both men, they adopt each other’s respective hometowns along with their cultures. While one man delves into enjoying the Paradise that is the Hawaiian Islands, the other man launches himself into one of the most historic rises to power ever known to mankind, through the avenue of Windy City politics.

By way of the 2008 Democratic Primary Campaigns, the true identity of “Barry” is revealed to the play grandson of Stan Dunham. Only then does the grandfather’s quest for partial redemption become revealed.

Each and every day as then Senator and now President Barack Obama is introduced to the world; his very essence continues to be poured into the soul of a man, who knew him only through the eyes of his grandfather. Now the need to fulfill a promise, by way of a discarded dream, holds the key to connecting the psyches of possibly both parties.

After receiving first hand confirmation of Barry’s identity from Madelyn (Stan’s wife), and then hearing of her demise, the fire was completely relit to look for and eventually meet Barry in person. These days, of course, that is easier said than done.

Looking For Barry, The 44th President of The United States of America, is also part of the evolutionary and continued story of not only African American ethnic acceptance in American society, but ethnic acceptance of all people who have migrated to this wonderful country in search of a better way of life. Beyond that, it is a non-fiction story about reconciliation and forgiveness.
