Stitching Protest Quilts And More
Swearing Is Optional..!
Swearing Is Optional..!
In this course you will get:
Please note that this course is about (raw edge appliqué) machine stitching. A lot of the information is still relevant if you want to hand stitch the letters but this technique is not covered in the videos.
IMPORTANT: I do not swear in the videos but as you can see from the image, I have used some swear words in the sample quilt. If you don't want to look at fabric swear words please do not sign up for this course. :-)
The point of this course is not to make a project with swear words in it. However, sometimes swearing helps to express how you are feeling. And besides, usually the thing someone is swearing about is way worse than the swears themselves. I am much more offended by the ongoing genocide in Gaza than if someone uses the words f*ck or sh*t in a quilt. Whether you include swears or not, I hope you find value in this course.
We cover machine zig zag stitching and free motion stitching in the course. I hope that I have made the instructions so they will give a (adventurous) beginner confidence to try both techniques.
