Wollperlen - crochet pattern

Do you know those souvenir hanks of colorful handdyed yarn that you just have to buy --- and then, sometimes, it is hard to find a good project to showcase the beauty of the yarn. I designed this cowl to show off handdyed yarn. And of course, to get you to make something practical and beautiful to wear. This is an instance of assigned pooling --- each snipped of a different color is turned into a precious wool bead (‘Wollperle’ in German).

The cowl is worked in slip stitches.

The pattern contains photo tutorials for all stitches and techniques used.

Und dann, zu Hause, ist es gar nicht so einfach, ein Projekt zu finden, das die schöne Färbung zur Geltung kommen lässt. Diesen Cowl habe ich designt, um Handgefärbtes in Szene zu setzen. Auf Englisch wird es ‘assigned pooling’ genannt - hier verwandeln sich kurze Farbabschnitte in kostbare Wollperlen.

Der Cowl wird aus Kettmaschen gehäkelt.
