KNITTING PATTERN Amanda The Panda Pillow

Pandas are the most adorable bears that never hibernate, unless you want to hibernate together for a sweet afternoon nap. Colorwork in this pattern is done using Intarsia knitting technique that allows changing colors without stranding yarn across the back of the work. There are only 3 seams in this pattern - 2 side seams & an invisible mattress stitch across the bottom; the back, front, and ears are done in 1 piece. This pattern is written row-by-row, including photos, color chart, stitch abbreviations, and explanations for the required techniques.

KNITTING LEVEL & SKILLS:
• Intermediate
• Garter stitch, stockinette stitch, k2tog & ssk decreases, kfb increases, slip stitch, kitchener stitch, intarsia, knitting in rows and knitting in the round using Magic Loop method.

SIZE: Finished size after stuffing is approximately 17” (43.2 cm) width X 14” (35.5 cm) height.

TOOLS & MATERIALS you will need:
• Bernat Super Value Yarn (or any other similar yarn); Weight category: 4 / Medium / Worsted; QTY: 1 skein of White & 1⁄2 skein of Black
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers
• Polyester stuffing or stuffing from a bed pillow

NEEDLES: Circular needles, at least 32” (80 cm) long — 4 mm (US 6).

GAUGE: 19 sts X 40 rows = 4” X 4” (10 cm X 10 cm) in Garter stitch.
