CaptionCheck — technical-course caption review workspace
Keep an expected lesson manifest, selected caption paths and explicit technical-term review decisions together before a course update.
Includes the portable local HTML workspace, complete original ten-lesson synthetic fixture, manifest/glossary/policy examples, worked review instructions, limitations, source and reproducible checks. Original software and examples by Shruti.
Review missing required, unmatched and ambiguous caption files; deliberately map renamed paths; inspect literal term variants in cue context; record human decisions with reasons; export source-preserving receipts linked to exact files and rules. No API key, paid AI runtime or cloud storage.
This experimental tool does not generate captions, listen to audio, correct meaning, certify accessibility or guarantee platform approval. UTF-8 plain-text SRT and a limited WebVTT subset only; advanced settings/REGION/STYLE/markup need a broader editor. Maximum 200 files, 2 MiB each, 20 MiB total. Receipts retain unresolved problems and human review assertions.
A complete free sample, one-file checker, multi-file coverage preview and walkthrough are available at https://sunny-torrone-29332a.netlify.app/captioncheck/ . Free Subtitle Edit plus a spreadsheet/literal search may be enough for your workflow. The full edition’s proposed value is the assembled local course-review and decision workflow, original source and instructions. Paid demand and time savings are unproven. Browser code is inspectable, not a secure paywall.
Experimental digital download available through Payhip; actual paid processing and buyer demand remain unverified. $15 is a pricing hypothesis. No production certification, reviews or revenue claims. Personal/commercial course-review use under included license; no resale of the full original pack. No custom services included. Exported receipts may contain cue text: keep them privately.
