Instructions are given for 2 versions of this generously sized tote: Version 1 (blue) has a double front outside wave pocket; Version 2 (green) has a simple appliquéd wave. Both feature an inside pocket, hook-and-loop top closure, and full lining. Finished Size: 16″ h x 18″ w x 5-1/2″ deep

Materials Required: (45″ (115 cm) cotton)

.6 m (2/3 yd.) colour 1 (bag top)

.5m (5/8 yd.) colour 2 (bag bottom, front wave pocket, handles)

.6 m (2/3 yd.) bag lining

1 m (1-1/4 yd.) heavy weight fusible interfacing*

26 cm x 50 cm (10″ x 18-1/2″) for front pocket lining

1.6 m (66″) of 2.5 cm (1″) wide webbing for handles

39 cm square (12″ square) fabric for tail appliqué

.3 m (1/3 yd.) fusible web*

5 cm (2″) length of 1.9 cm wide (¾″) hook-and-loop tape

Sewing and quilting thread to match

Version 1 (blue): .6 m (24″) of bias binding (white)

25 cm x 50 cm (10″ x 18-1/2″) for front pocket lining

.3 m (1/3 yd.) medium weight interfacing (pockets)*

Version 2 (green): 10 cm x 50 cm (4″ x 18-1/2″) white for wave

16.5 cm x 32 cm (6-1/2″ x 12-1/2″) for inside pocket
