John Muir famously observed, “When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.” Everything in nature has a place and a role - from the tiny flecks of algae to the proud eagle. When one role is removed, the whole system is affected.

Though many of our ecosystems are facing harsh challenges, from the Yellowstone to the Mekong, fish often are forgotten. Fish are often an integral part in any ecosystem - and even a change from one species to a new, nonnative species may have dramatic impacts.

The Trout Stream Cowl mimics the spotting and dramatic color shifts of the trout family - popular sport fish that are under pressure from a variety of ecological threats. Tiny cables give a fishy texture to the fabric of the cowl. The cowl flares out to gentle waves, as would a trout’s tail.
