Tremendous Work! A MUST READ.

This book resonates with me on so many levels. Many of the roadblocks I faced while attending a PWI are covered in this guide. The game changer here is that this guide offers tangible solutions on how to identify roadblocks and get past them. Having graduated, there's a lot of "If I knew then what I know now" moments I have when I reflect on my college experience. This book is incredibly informative and a tremendous resource for parents, students, educators, guidance counselors, mentors, and so much more. Knowledge is power and I recommend that everyone purchase and share this guide with others. Kudos to Greg on this amazing piece of work.

Powerful Illustration, Great Read!

Negotiating Your College Success, provides a powerful illustration of the obstacles that come with navigating a Predominately White Institution as a student of color, but more importantly a crash course of how to matriculate through said obstacles. Greg has managed to shine a light on the nuanced realities of familial responsibilities, personal accountability, relationship management and so much more through sharing his years of expertise and experience. I could have only wished to have a reference like this while in school, but I am grateful this can serve as one for future students of color. Job well done!

What I wish I had

I wish I had a book like this when I was getting ready to go college. I had a tough time adjusting and this would have helped tremendously. The best chapters were the ones focused on micro aggressions, imposter syndrome,
and building a support system. Reading this beforehand would have made me more aware in my collegiate journey.
