Two dogs, born four days apart to different parents, have been inseparable ever since. ChiChi Rose keeps the magnifying glass. Red Fox keeps the red bandana. Chance, Red Fox's younger brother, keeps trying to be exactly like both of them.

On Maple Street, where dogs and children live as neighbors, something always goes missing, someone is always blamed, and somebody usually feels awful about it. That is where the case starts.

CASE No. 2: The Vanishing Voice. Something that should be heard has gone quiet.

CASE No. 3: The Whispering Woods. A sound in the trees that nobody can explain.

CASE No. 4: The Sleepy School. Nobody can stay awake, and there is a reason.
