Animal Activity Booklet for Young & Not So Young German Learners

This little booklet has two posters with 27 well and not so well known animals – one in German and one in English. The German poster also comes as a jigsaw puzzle, just make sure you print it onto card instead of paper.

There are also 15 pages for your child to read both, the German and English name of the animals with spaces below.

The spaces can be used depending on the level of German. As you can print them as many times as you wish you could use them, for example, to:

• Read the names of the animals and let your child draw them
• Let your child draw them and write the name in German (and English)
• Let your child write a basic sentence in German. For example: Das Krokodil ist grün.
• Or work out the plurals of those names: das Krokodil, die Krokodil
• As your child’s German improves, the spaces could be used to practice German reading, listening and writing skills by finding out information about these animals from German websites, videos or books and then write about it – in German, of course ;-)
• This could also be useful for adults who are interested in learning about animals AND learning German.

There is also a word search with the choice of finding the German words from the German list or from the English list.
