Overlay Mosaic Crochet. "ROSE IN THE DESERT" pattern, PDF written pattern, Big Chart Xs

This is a digital pattern (available in PDF format only) that can be used to crochet a blanket using Overlay Mosaic Crochet

Colours Used: 2 or 4 (But if you are skilled in the technique, feel free to use as many colours as you want)

Graph Size: 299 columns x 299 rows

The finished size of this design depends not only on the graph size but also on the stitch of choice, hook size, yarn thickness, and other factors.

For this pattern, my tester Roxane Aromando used a 4 mm (US-G/6, UK-8) and the measurements with the recommended yarn (Lion Brand Pound of Love) were 132,08 cm (52”) in width

and 147,32 cm (58”) in height without a border, Ideal size for a Throw or Sofa Blanket.

The amount of yarn used for this pattern by my tester without the border was: 1417,32 meters / 1550 yards (colour Blue), 1165,86 meters / 1275 yards (colour Tan), 365,76 meters / 400 yards (colour Rose) and 2331,72 meters / 2550 yards (colour Black)

To make these 4 colour changes and their use easier, I’ve marked the corresponding colours with different colored markers in both the written pattern and the Big Chart. In the written pattern, I’ve marked a pink line and a blue line in the rows where these colours are found. In the Big Chart, I’ve marked the colours in each row with the corresponding colour.

Obviously, if you’re only going to use two colours, ignore the colored markings I’ve drawn with a marker in those rows.
